ISEPC Registration for Indian Silk Exports | Everything You Need to Know

 

The Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC) was founded in 1983 as a non-profit organization for silk exporters, manufacturers, and merchandisers. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and operates under the Companies Act. The Indian government has recently designated the silk and allied silk product industry as a priority sector in recognition of its significance.

 

ISEPC works closely with the Indian government to develop policies that support the growth and development of the silk sector. It provides specialized services to the trade, commerce, and industry that are aimed at expanding global business opportunities for the Indian silk industry.

Eligibility for ISEPC registration

The Indian Silk Export Promotion Council invites all silk and allied silk product exporters to become ordinary members. As an ordinary member, you will be able to take advantage of a wide range of benefits and services provided by the Council, as announced by the Government of India from time to time.

 

These benefits include the opportunity to participate in the Council’s subsidized and general annual export promotion activities. Documents required for registration

  1. MoA & AoA in case of companies
  2. Pan detail as applicable
  3. Copy of Importer-exporter code
  4. Proof of manufacturer – exporter if required
  5. Partnership deed in case of partnership firm
  6. Gst detail
  7. Certificate from bank in support of applicants financial soundness

Fee for ISEPC registration

The membership fee for ISEPC is 9,440 INR for merchants and manufacturers/exporters of silk products and its allied goods.

 

How to apply for ISEPC RCMC registration

  1. Log in to the DGFT portal: Once you have created an account with your IEC code, you will be able to access the DGFT portal by logging in with your username and password.
  2. Apply for RCMC registration: After logging in, go to the RCMC registration section of the portal. You will be asked to complete an application form with information such as your company name, address, and PAN number.
  3. Upload supporting documents: You will also be required to upload supporting documents such as a PAN card, GST registration certificate, and incorporation certificate.
  4. Submit the application: After you have finished filling out the application form and uploaded all the necessary documents, you can submit your application..
  5. Approval process: Upon submission, the application will be reviewed by the authorities. Once it is approved, you will be issued an RCMC.
